Newborn and Family photos.

Not too much to report on the frontier. The kids are getting big, we can't wait for Spring, yadda yadda yadda. I do have some pictures to share though. These were taken by my good friend Haley Ahlers, a very talented up and coming photographer. Enjoy!

Beating the Winter Blues

Boy has is been a gross winter! It has been cold, windy, and wet. Even though we've had a little bit of snow here and there, it really hasn't been enough to play in. When it does precipitate, it has been just warm enough for it to be rain and sleet with wind so fierce it rattles our house all night. I dread the walk to the car when I take the kids places during the day! I know it is a little worse out in the country due to the wind, but come on! I normally have no problem with winter - but this year has just been bleh!

However, we are finding ways to conquer cabin fever and get through until Spring. Having Allisyn has probably saved our winter. She is new, cute, and doing something new every day. Gavyn loves to talk to her, love on her, and try to play with her. We also still go lots of places. We go on play dates to friends houses, and have friends over here. We go to school for BabyTALK and we go to soccer planet for their toddler play- time. Once a week we have gymnastics. Then we have days where we hole up in the house and play. Those days are pretty nice too, I must admit!

This month my baby boy, no longer a baby, turned two. It doesn't seem possible that it has been two years since his arrival. However, he certainly does show it. He is talking so much more, and even to the point where I'm not the only one who can understand him! He is also developing the most amazing imagination. I love playing games he has made up (especially "night nights", which requires me to lay down in his little house while he tucks me in over and over...ahhhh) and watching him play with his toys in a manner I had forgotten long long ago. He is confident, funny, silly, creative, and so so smart! He loves to be challenged, even when it frustrates him when he can't get it right. He loves trains, helping in the kitchen, building things, running and jumping, playing outside, chocolate, and of course, baby Alli.

We had his birthday party at his gymnastics gym - which was the perfect move for a family with an 8 week old. We had quite a good turn out - 15 kids! Gavyn has so many friends! They all seemed to have a good time.

Alli is learning and getting more interactive every day. She is so smiley and loves to chat! Her favorite thing to do, besides talking to a person, is watching the animal mobile in her swing. She can grab small things now and sometimes puts them in her mouth. Her bright blue eyes watch everything. She is so beautiful.
