Baby update and Summer fun!

Gavyn and I went for Baby's 12-week sonogram on Wednesday and got to see the little one! Gavyn did a fantastic job sitting quietly reading books while Mama talked with the doctor's and he also liked looking at the pictures of the baby. As of now, Baby G looks perfect. He or she was very active, so it took a while for the tech to get all of the information she needed, but I was glad to see all the activity. I can already feel the movements even though I am only 13 weeks. So this is one strong kid! Or I am really sensitive, which may be the case as well. I can feel the little bulge of my uterus now. Our next appointment isn't until July 16, but I get to see the baby again then!

Hi everybody!

We've been having fun in the sun all week long. We have been going to parks, the library, for long trail walks, out to Allerton, and playing in our back yard! John cut some low branches from a tree in the backyard and Gavyn has made that a little fort for Belle and him. He also has a splash mat to help beat the heat in the afternoons! Mama likes sticking her feet in as well. Yesterday Gavyn helped Daddy wash the van and pick up sticks and branches from the yard. He is such a good helper and is always trying to give people presents (rock, anyone?). He is always finding sticks for Belle and after she takes them from him, he'll look at her and sign "Thank you", like he is telling her that she needs to say thank you, just like Mama and Dada tell him to do.
